Symptom
Harsh grating noise from the transmission when moving off from a stand still.
Cause
Deceleration torque in the main shaft resulting in high stress on the main shaft bearing balls, causing damage to them and resulting in an abnormal noise
Countermeasure
The bearing has been modified to cope with the high load.
The kit part number above contains the seven bearings required to complete this repair. Two of these bearings are the differential bearings.
