Castrol React Performance DOT 4 is a high boiling point synthetic brake fluid that significantly exceeds the requirements of SAE J1704, FMVSS 116 DOT 3 & DOT 4, ISO 4925 and JIS K2233 specifications. It is formulated using advanced polyalkylene glycol ethers and borate ester technology, combined with high-performance additives and corrosion inhibitors.
This advanced formulation delivers outstanding resistance to high-temperature vapour lock while providing excellent system protection against corrosion, making it ideal for demanding braking environments.

Service Life
All conventional brake fluids deteriorate during use. Castrol recommends changing React Performance DOT 4 in line with the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance. Where no guidance is provided, a brake fluid change interval of every 2 years is recommended.
Important Information
⚠️ Not suitable for braking systems requiring mineral oil-based fluids (e.g. certain Citroën systems using LHM or Rolls-Royce systems requiring HSMO PLUS).
⚠️ Avoid contact with paintwork. In the event of spillage, rinse immediately with water — do not wipe.
