The public first saw the SEAT Tarraco at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018, and the car later joined the market in 2019 as the car manufacturer’s answer to families needing serious space without sacrificing driving pleasure.

After receiving 10,130 name suggestions, SEAT whittled them down, and, eventually, Tarraco was chosen by public vote. It is a nod to the former capital of the Roman province of Hispania, Tarraconesis, which corresponds to the former name of Tarragona in Catalonia, Spain.
The Tarraco sits on proven MQB underpinnings, sharing its foundation with other successful models while retaining SEAT’s distinctive character. That higher seating position improves road visibility, whilst the generous cabin accommodates seven people comfortably across three rows.
There are three different trim options for those shopping for the SUV: Style, Xcellence, and FR. Your choice of engine spans from efficient TSI petrol units to muscular TDI diesels, each delivering capable performance whether you’re tackling daily commutes or loaded holiday trips.
